Karl's Kids Program, Inc., a non-profit children's organization will be holding a
fund-raising coloring contest at the Azalea Festival. The winning artwork will be posted
on the Program's main website. www.karlskidsprogram.com

Karl's Kids was started here in Putnam Co. two years ago and currently has volunteers
throughout the country and into Canada and New Zealand. The Program deals with
topics from Fire Safety Issues to Life Safety Issues to the care of the family pup.  One
of the latest activities of the Program under its Chimo's Cuddles Project was to deliver
over 1,200 stuffed animals to Waveland, Mississippi in time for a Christmas Party for
the areas children K-3 grades.

The coloring page to be used at the Azalea Festival was drawn and donated by Jamie
Ohman, a multi-award winning NY artist and owner of
Dancing Cavy Productions. The
art features a cartoon version of Karl, the German Shepherd Dog owned by Program
Founder and Director Theresa Jennings. Ms. Ohman also donated to the Program a full
colored version of the coloring page.

The Karl's Kids Booth will be in the Animal Section down by the River. Kids, stop by and
participate in the coloring contest. Dog owners, we will also have a comfort station set
up for the canine visitors.
